Chapter Nine

The next day, at Samuel’s suggestion, Esther brought Amelia with her to the meeting of the Ladies’ Literary and Dramatic Society at the Addison mansion.

“No, I mustn’t,” Amelia had said at first, but Esther had replied, “Samuel is right. You must become accustomed to seeing Papa and Mama.”
